What We Believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, who lived as fully human while still being fully God.

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and after three days rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father as King of all Creation. Through His death, Jesus paid the price for all sin for all people for all time, and through Him we have received the grace (love and mercy) of God now and forever, and that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God through Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return at an unknown time and will usher in the fullness of God’s Kingdom without sin, suffering or death. We believe that all believers will also rise from the dead and live eternally with God in his perfect Kingdom.

We believe in the Triune God as one God, expressed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit calls, gathers, and enlightens us to serve God’s purposes and to be a light to the world of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Scripture is the divinely inspired written word of God revealing Himself and His nature of love.

We believe that there are two sacraments (visible means of grace), Baptism and Holy communion. We further believe that all people are fully welcome to receive either sacrament without restriction to age, understanding or worthiness.

We believe that all people are uniquely different in thought, word, deed, character, race, or gender. We further believe that our unity is in Christ alone and not in agreement of our differences. We strive, therefore, to be accepting of all God’s children, without judging or condoning sinful behavior.

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ was founded by and maintained by Jesus as the one true head. The Holy Spirit calls and gathers people into Christ’s Church to worship, serve, learn, and fellowship with each other to the glory of God and for His purposes.

We believe we are called to be Disciples of Jesus Christ and not merely members of a congregation. Therefore, we strive to grow as Disciples by following the Seven Marks of Discipleship:
